From the archive record

A Republic Day Parade rehearsal takes place in New Delhi, featuring a ceremonial cavalry regiment riding in formation along the parade route. The riders wear traditional military ceremonial uniforms with gold embellishments, white breeches, and distinctive turbans with fan-like crests. An open-top olive-green Maruti Suzuki Gypsy carries a parade officer during the inspection, while spectators watch from the packed stands behind security barriers. The rehearsal also includes an Indian Air Force helicopter formation flying above the parade route under an overcast sky, with national and service flags displayed beneath the aircraft. Indian national flags, ceremonial personnel, barricades, and parade infrastructure are visible throughout the scene.
