A great number of institutions were founded, the infrastructure for a new cinema was laid down with the finding of the film institute, the national awards, film archives of India and so on. The film finance corporation which later became the NFTC is a very important factor in fact in the production of serious cinema. Serious cinema segment because of two different reasons, in the mainstream cinema what has happened and the transcendental quality of the song began to decline dimensions and now the objective that either the decision makers in Delhi or film buffs had in mind. But in actual facts, it was found that the bridge between art cinema and the serious cinema began with the commercial or mainstream cinema.
