Ram Prasad, founder of Nepali Folk Musical Instrument Museum speaks about the Museum and instruments. He says, "When I got knowledge of music from my teacher I asked him what should I offer you in return of your teachings, he said, I don't want anything from you but it will be good that you do something good for Nepal. We have 400 musical instruments in the museum. I am trying to get funds from the government and international organization for the maintenance of the museum. I consider taking care of the museum as worship to my music teacher. The Music Museum of Nepal was founded in the year 1995 with a view of collecting, preserving and glorifying Nepali folk musical instruments. There are more than 100 ethnic groups in Nepal, each with their own culture and traditions to mark every occasi
