Crowds mill around, policemen's whistles rent the air, car horns honk away, thiree-wheelers blow their horns, cyclists ring their bells and pedestrians mill around and create a noisy ruckus. India at her noisiest best! Announcements are made on the PA or Public Address system and crowds and traffic are ordered around and regulated (to a modest extent!). The melee and chaos of daily India gets even stronger and bigger / louder on a festive day!
