Bhojpuri singer, actor, presenter, and politician Manoj Tiwari says," Like the Britishers ruled our country they stole many things from us and our country, similarly, the pop songs are made from Bhojpuri songs only. I can say that because when I listen to English classical songs, in our area a song is sung known as 'Lorki' sung by our Yadav brothers when they used to take the cattles for grazingin the afternoon they used to sing songs keeping their hands on their ears that same thing i hear in the English classical songs. And the pop songs are taken from the Bhojpuri songs, the songs that is sung when a child is born."
