Policemen armed as best they can be in those days are filmed marching towards the direction of demonstrators and rioters in Ayodhya. Policemen are seen using tear gas towards the direction of the crowd and trying to dissuade the crowd from entering certain alleys as communal tensions grip the city in Uttar Pradesh in December of 1993. The Babri Masjid demolition and the incidents leading up to the demolition had caused a string of unfortunate incidents in Ayodhya and elsewhere and the communal tensions had left residents at tenterhooks.
