In today world times of instant communication, they have given way to an industry that is at present in the throes of a big boom. The industry as the courier companies call themselves now has been a major beneficiary of the government liberalization process. it is now growing at a steady and highly impressive annual rate of 35% delivering letters documents and packages was always the monopoly of the Indian postal department only till 1978 when Brussels based DHL set up operations in Indian where success wasn't immediate and initially the courier companies operated more like a postman. However things began to look up after the government took in the early 80 took first tentative step
