These House Crows (Corvus splendens) enjoy the cool shade that the underbelly of a flyover provides in Delhi. A small flock of Common House Crow sits on the fence underneath a flyover in South Delhi. Due to the Covid Pandemic, the capital city was under lockdown for two months and with very little vehicular movement, the crows seem to be looking for food. House crows are abundant in metro cities and urban areas in India. They are carnivorous and dependent on trash, rubbish, sewage, etc for food. They also feed on small insects and animals like lizards and frogs. They are usually seen in flocks of hundreds and are known to be noisy birds.
