For every state, region or country, roads play an important role in their economy and development. Uttarakhand being a hill state is relatively less developed than the plain areas. The maintenance charge for hilly roads is very high and they often get damaged in harsh weather is due to natural calamity like landslides. A drive through the beautiful scenery of the Dev Bhoomi, i.e., God's land. The roads are lined with Sal trees and other flora.
