A young Kunal Khemu reveals preparations from the film: "When you get to portray a film like this then you try to do justice to the character as much as possible. Also because Silsila maybe a fictional character but inspired by a real character. So I take it as real and as a part of research i go to signals and meet them in different traffic signals. The beggars, homeless sitting there so that I can learn something about them, incorporate their body language somewhere or the other, their lingo of calling each other, styles that I can incorporate."
