A cement mixing or construction site, with huge mountains of sand and other materials, mixers, a Larsen & Toubro marked silo and various trucks and construction equipment, in India. India is particularly challenged as far as sand poaching is concerned, as there is such a huge demand for sand, 'bajri', top soil and other requirements for road and building construction, landscaping and gardens. As a result, sand is stolen from river-banks, river-beds, along the sea and anywhere else it is available. There are clear-cut laws but few follow them!
