The General Post Office, Bangalore is the central post office of the city of Bangalore. The post-office handles most of the city's inbound and outbound mail and parcels. Situated in the city center since year 1800 when it opened, it has been a key player of Indian Postal Service serving the Bangalore city. Bangalore is the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Deccan Plateau in the south-eastern part of Karnataka. Bangalore is India's third most populous city and fifth-most populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India because of its position as the nation's leading Information technology (IT) exporter.
