Rezwana Choudhury Bannya is a legendary exponent of Rabindrasangeet in Bangladesh. She has achieved respected fame both in Bangladesh and worldwide for outstanding contribution to music. She has mastered the essence of Tagore's songs.She received an initial training in music from Chhayanat and the Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts in Dhaka.Her love nad passion for rabindrasangeet intensified and flourished at Shantiniketan where she went to continue her training under I.C.C.R. In shantiniketan she received training from strong persons like Kanika Bandopaddhay and Nilima Sen. It was with Ms. Bandopadhay's inspiration that she established "Surer Dhara", a music school in Dhaka in 1992.She has presented rabindrasangeet to global audience.
