The collared owlet species (Glaucidium brodiei) can be seen in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, southeast Asia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Taiwan and China. These owlet species are the smallest owls in Asia. These owls are pretty small, measuring 15 to 17 cm in length. Curious to mention that in this species, females are slightly larger than males. Their overall plumage’s coloring is brown; different shades of it. Then their heads are dark brown with a pale buff dotting and barring. There is also a pale whitish collar but this is only visible when the neck is stretched.
