A view of carnivorous plants like Venus fly trap and Sarracenia flava that can be grown but are not indigenous to the Himalaya, Western ghats, Nepal and Afghanistan. Carnivorous plant grows well in regions with high temperature. Carnivorous plants can be grown in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar pradesh districts of India, among other parts, depending on the climate and moisture conditions. Venus fly trap and Sarracenia flava produce fruits which are used in Indian pickle and spices and these are drought tolerant plant. This information however seems to be unverified. Sarracenia plant lures insects to sweet, gooey nectar around the rim of a tube - a deadly pitfall trap and the Venus flytrap has toothy mouths that snap shut on its prey.
