Its such a mad rush!!! No matter the time and hour of the day, Delhi roads never seem to run out of cars and trucks. Continuing economic growth has led to even more vehicles on Delhi's already overcrowded roads. In fact, there were 85 cars for every 1,000 of its residents according to a survey in 2008 in 2008. The high demand for cars and vehicles, and infiltration has led to a rough estimation as high as 200,000 vehicles per day on Delhi's Ring Road. Delhi has one of the highest road densities in India. It is well connected to five National Highways such as NH 1, 2, 8, 10 and 24. The MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi), NDMC, Delhi Cantonment Board, Public Works Department (PWD) and Delhi Development Authority maintains and operates Delhi Roads.
