With fast foot work and much hip swinging, these tribal women seem to be enjoying their dance. In this Adi community, the Solung Festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. These Adi tribal women dance in their red wraparound skirts, best jewellery and black tops, to the sound of popular music. Solung is the most popular festival of the Adis of Arunachal Pradesh which is celebrated on September 1 every year. Though primarily an agro-based festival, it also reflects the socio-religious features of the people. There are three main parts in the celebration of this festival.
