In Betul, people believe that smearing their kids in cow dung can help them lead a healthy life free from ailments. This unusual tradition takes place in a village in Betul district in Madhya Pradesh. There, people believe smearing their kids in cow dung can help them lead a healthy life. Along with that is the belief 'purity' of the cow dung will bring them good luck. The weird practice is followed a day after Diwali. For weeks, people in the village collect cow dung in one place and store it in huge piles. After offering special prayers to gods in the morning, people start dipping children as young as one-year-old in the pool of cow dung. Villagers gather around the heap and wait for their turn to place their kids in the pure dung. Source : indiatoday This footage is part of the broadca
