After the last day of Diwali celebrations, the folks in Betul, Madhya Pradesh initiating the Govardhan rituals with chants and firecrackers and they prepare the pile of cow dung for dipping the children. Parents bring their children to the pile of cow dung to be dipped in and to roll over as it is believed to protect them for ailments. dipping in cow dung is also believed to bring good luck to the children.
