The compound bears a ghostly sight with the worn down structures of the once flourishing fort city of the Portuguese. The Vasai Fort or Bassein Fort known with different names in the Konkan region is located away from the city of Mumbai. The structures and the architecture veiled with a dense growth of moss and seasonal vegetation during the rainy season. Structures remaining of the churches inside the fort can be seen. Maintenance looks to be unseen here in this ruins which have been seen in Bollywood films and selfies of adventure seekers.
