Large-scale Chaddimar Holi celebrations in Gokul, one of the most culturally significant Holi festivals in the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of devotees and visitors gather together as clouds of colorful gulal powder rise into the air, creating an energetic and devotional atmosphere. At the center of the festivities is the famous Chaddimar Holi tradition, where women playfully tap men with small sticks known as chaddis in honor of the mischievous childhood stories of Lord Krishna. The event venue features a decorated stage draped in bright orange and yellow fabric with a prominent “Rangotsav 2024” banner, while participants sing, dance, celebrate, and record the memorable scenes on their mobile phones.
