The director of the film Hope and a Little Sugar, Tanuja Chandra talks about her film, the cast, working with artists from different nationalities. "If you have a good script and have a producer with a liberal mindset and who doesn't pressurise you into making compromises. Then its always easy to direct. The work is good and efficient. Of course, we did a very fast job. We completed the film in 25 days. But still the mixture of American and Indian in the production which was very interesting. The Americans are very organised in all and we had raw talent. So putting that together was very interesting. Hope and a Little Sugar is a 2006 Indian English-language film shot in New York City and directed by Tanuja Chandra. It premiered and won an award on 6 October 2006 at the South Asian Internat
