Strategically located on an isolated rocky hill at the endof the Vindhya Range, Kalinjar Fort served many rulers as a defense fortress. Located in Bundelkhand region of central India in Uttar Pradesh, this granite fort has been standing and guarding several dynasties since the 10th century. Though now an ASI protected monument, the fort does not seem to be in a protected state. Lots of restoration is required in order for the monument to last longer.
