Shri N.T. Rama Rao resigned from the office of the Chief Minister on 31st August 1995. Shri N.T. Rama Rao handed over the letter to the Governor Shri Krishan Kant when the latter went to call on him in the Medicity hospital where he is admitted for treatment. Governor has requested N.T. Rama Rao and his Council of Ministers to be in office till the New Government is formed.
