Arum is a genus of about 25 species of flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to Europe, northern Africa, and western Asia, with the highest species diversity in the Mediterranean region. Frequently called "arum lilies", they are not closely related to the true lilies Lilium. Plants in the closely related tribe Zantedeschia are also called "arum lilies". Loklei, lomba are varieties of vegetables that are used in daily meals are found only in and around the region and not seen elsewhere. Khwairamband Bazar is the main market of Imphal, capital of the state of Manipur in India. The main feature of this market is that all its shops are owned and operated by women.
