Ganga Aarti Haridwar is performed at Har-ki-Pauri, its is one of the famous rituals in India. It starts in the after sunset, with great crowds gathered in the region of both the banks of a canal that carries the waters of Ganges. Ganga Aarti is a devotional ceremony that uses fire as an offering. It's usually made in the form of a lit lamp, and in the case of the Ganges River, a small diya with a candle and flowers that's floated down the river. The offering is made to the Goddess Ganga, as well lovingly referred to as Maa Ganga, goddess of the most holy river in India. One to five times Aarti is performed every day at the Harki Pauri Ghat.
