artisans crafting and decorating clay idols of Goddess Durga at an outdoor workshop in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, India. Craftsmen are seen carefully sculpting, painting, and attaching decorative ornaments as the idols progress toward completion for the upcoming Durga Puja festival. The workshop contains multiple Durga idols in different stages of production, including the goddess mounted on her traditional lion (vahana). Additional artisans work on painting and finishing the sculptures, while bamboo supports and decorative backdrops help stabilize the large handcrafted idols.
