This largest cattle fair happens at Siddaganga Matha premises, Tumkur, every year during Shivarathri festival. It is going to held every year at the time of Shivarathri festival. Devotees come from all parts of India to participate in this holy ceremony. During this fair daily assemblage is about 75 thousand persons and 50 thousand Cattle. A large sized Agricultural & Industrial Exhibition is also organized during this Jatra for 15 days. Many central and state Government Departments, Industrialists, Manufacturers, educational Institutions and Merchants participate in this Exhibition. Many cultural activities like dramas, Music, Classical Dance programmes are also arranged during this time.
