Naga female traffic police carries out her duty at a busy road junction road in Kohima city, Nagaland. The first Women Cell in Nagaland was established in Dimapur district on May 14, 2002 under the supervision of Nukshilemla as the OC. Later, Kohima and Mokokchung districts were also given a thumps-up for setting up separate Women Cells in 2006 and 2009 respectively. Today, these three existing Women Cells handle and interrogate all crime cases related to women and children. Also, Women Cell is designated as anti-human trafficking unit.
