Dry seed-bearing structures of common thyme (Thymus vulgaris), known locally as Banajwain or Ban Ajwain, are shown after the flowers have dried. The plant produces small flowers that can range from pale pink to lavender, followed by dry fruits containing seeds. The dried seed-bearing structures are collected for use as planting material for the next growing season. Common thyme is a perennial herb that can continue growing across multiple seasons under suitable conditions. The footage shows the harvesting and handling of mature dry seed-bearing parts of the plant.
