Teak tree wood is much in demand in India, south-east Asia and around the world, as a hard wood, but did you know the white star-shaped flowers are so delicate? And yet, even as the flowers are so small and delicate, the leaves are just as large and rough! The Teak is a prominent hard wood tree in India, but its harvest is now almost entirely banned. Here it flowers in abandon along a South Delhi road, near a car park and taxi stand, shedding its delicate white flowers to the ground.
