He discusses the relationship of his parents who were both famous in the film industry. Arun Dutt on the films his father has made or starred in and the making of commercial films. ...Since childhood he had a very negative thought, very morbid thinking and it lingered on when you read his works in 1950s, even then he had very negative thinking. So he was never satisfied with anything. When I came to know their relationship was strained and they had separated. In fact, in 1963, they separated and we lived with mother near Mehboob Studios and he shifted to Peddar Road. So the relationship was already very strained by then. There was not much financial strain...
