Kaziranga National Park is a biodiversity hotspot that has a lot of species endemic to the region itself. The One-horned Indian Rhino(Rhinoceros unicornis)is the most sought after species of this region. It is also a World Heritage site for the same reason. You can also spot a Black headed Ibis(Threskiornis melanocephalus) strolling along with a herd of Barasingha or the Swamp deer(Rucervus duvaucelii) .
