'Rajiv Gandhi Hamara Hai' - Thousands chant and accompany him for his final journey in New Delhi in a flower covered open truck, and a large motorcade. May 21, 1992 and Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in Tamil Nadu. A sea of humanity flanks both sides of the street in Delhi as the motorcade carrying his body slowly moves past the citizens. The motorcade moving at the pace of walking as it moves towards the banks of the Yamuna. Chants and choppers overhead drown out everything as the nation prepares to bid their farewell to the former Prime Minister. On the banks of the Yamuna, his body is prepared for cremation with full state honours.
