Shweta speaks about pop music in India. She says, "The boom period of pop music or non-film music started four or five years before and at that time music companies started to release a large number of music albums and three or four years back 150 albums were launched in which 50 artists were new to the industry. At that time too many artists were available and there was a lot of clutter in the market and three years before music companies started to see that there was a fallout and slowly we all noticed that sales were going down and there was not much airplay on the channels. But in last two years, we have adopted a strategy that we will only give a break to talented singers they may not be great looking but if they have a good voice then we are only interested in promoting them.
