On 17 June 2019, 24-year-old Tabrez Ansari was accosted by a majority mob in Jharkhand, India. Ansari had been accused of bike theft and the mob had taken things into their own hands and compelled Ansari to chant the Hindu slogan "Jai Shri Ram" and "Jai Hanuman", which translates from Hindi to "hail Lord Ram" or "Victory to Lord Ram". Ansari's widow in an interview narrates the events following her husband's incident. She demands justice for the incident and describes her condition after the husband's passing. Ranchi bench of Jharkhand High Court granted the bail to the six accused in Tabrez Ansari case on 11th December 2019.
