This small, light-brown fungus clings and multiplies on a moist of decaying tree branches especially after a long rain. In Manipur, folks gather them to cook for meals. Kanglayen Kangsoi, Kanglayen Paaknam, Kanglayen Eromba and Kanglayen Singzu are some favorite dishes in Manipur.
