Landour institutions that are famous are Prakash's shop, for its cheese and jams (and occasionally bread and cinnamon rolls!), Deodar Hotel (Dev dar Woods), the Landour Language School, Kellogg church, Woodstock school, St. Paul's cathedral, the Jabbarkhet bhooth bangla, the cemetery, the north face walk, doorbin point at Lal Tibba, Char dukaani and much much more. More recently, Sanjay Narang's Rokeby Manor has also become something of a modern institution in Landour, with the great food at Emily's. Landour, a small cantonment town contiguous with Mussoorie, is about 35 km (22 miles) from the city of Dehradun in the northern state of Uttarakhand in India.
