In this clip, a Blister Beetle is camouflaged within a red Hibiscus or China Rose. On a closer look, the beetle looks like it is wiping itself down. The foreleg is seen going around its body and the back wings. It looks like its wiping down its small head as well. What exactly is the beetle doing? Is it trying to get rid of smaller parasites on it's body or is it applying juices from the China Rose flower into its body? Or has this something to do with the pollen from the Hibiscus rosa sinensis flower? The beetle is having its way with the flowers of this shrub. Placing itself on the reproductive part of the flower, the beetle munches down the juiciest and the fleshy petals.
