It is not illegal to feed macaques in many parts of India, as they have become demanding and even violent with human beings. This man does not seem to fear their demands and is freely dispensing bananas to them, as part of a religious belief. On a particular day of the week, monkeys are to be fed as part of a ritual offering to Hanuman, the monkey god.
