Watch the protocol for folding the Indian flag and carrying it back. The flag of India features three colored bands. The top band is a light orange (more precisely saffron), the second from the top is white and the third band is green. In the middle of the flag is a blue chakra. This has been the official national flag of India since 1947. Like most national flags, the flag of India is greatly respected, and there are certain codes that protect the flag and what it symbolizes.
