He explains the song, saying "This means that this song is describing the feet of Lord Shiva. It means that Lord Shiva's feet are smoother than butter and the way gulal (red powdered colour) falls on the ground and how when a fly sit on the3 gulal it leaves an imprint of it's feet on the powdery texture of gulal similarly Lord Shiva's footsteps are smooth. Lathmaar Holi is being celebrated for the past 250 years, so the men of Nandgaon get ready and come to Barsana and they carry shields along with them.
