Livestock trader Rameshwar Kakkar speaks about hybrid goats he have with him. He says " I am coming to Sonepur cattle fair since 1978. My ancestors also came to this fair regularly. I am from third generation. I bring breeds like tota pari and jamnapari to this fair. I always bring goat with long ears. These are original breeds. These all goats belonging to same father. Prices of goats differ from breed to breed". An annual cattle fair that titles to one of the biggest in Asia, Sonepur Mela is the pride of northern Bihar. The fair is held on the banks of the sacred river Ganga, where it confluences with its tributary, Gandak.
