Mukul S Anand says "Within the face of the girl in the South we find that embodiment of expressions or features which is what suits the typical Indian woman. I mean large eyes, they learn most acting through a basic training of dance, Bharatnatyam for that matter, so their expressions are very clear and voluble and like most students from Bombay or North who learn from acting schools. Most of the girls from South come with a vast experience first of all in acting itself because they have established actresses down South and then their expressions of dance suits them to act out. You will find this since the time we have had Vijayanti Mala, Padmini or Hema Malini and down to Sridevi now."
