Like the true lilies the Daylily belongs to the Liliaceae family. However they fall into is the Hemerocallis genus and not the Lilium genus. The Hemerocallis was first described by Linneaus in his book Species Plantarum in 1753. The name Hemerocallis translates from Greek into Hemera meaning "a day" and Kallos meaning "beauty". So Hemerocallis means "Beauty for a day" and from there we get Daylily since each flower only last for one day. Hydrangea is a genus of about 100 species of flowering plants native to southern and eastern Asia (from Japan to China, the Himalaya and Indonesia) and North and South America. Hydrangeas produce flowers from early spring to late autumn. The flowers of Hydrangea are carried in bunches, at the ends of the stems. Each individual Hydrangea flower is relative
