Bhutan is recognised for Gross national Happiness preserving and promoting the culture and tradition. Weaving has been the old best practice in the Nation. The wearing of the national dress, that is Gho for man and Kira for women requires lot of fabrics, wool, silk threads etc to form clothes. Bhutan, cotton was cultivated in Trongsa and sheep wool was harvested in Bumthang. While the highlanders get it from their yaks for weaving. There are different types of Looms: backstraps Looms, Horizontal frame loom, Phang tha. You will be able to see a young Bhutanese girl weaving beautiful pattern of Yathra Piece. The Process includes: 1: Collecting raw materials 2: spinning wools 3: Colouring 4: Rolling into Balls 5: Placing Weft/fabric 6: Adjusting fabric 7: Then comes the Weaving 8: Comb
