With Black Partridge calling in the fields, these women cut and uproot grass and weeds out of the edges of their fields, in order to clear them for post monsoon planting. They would also be creating fodder for their cows, in the process. This takes place at the edge of the fruit orcharding zone of Nainbagh and Ghorakhuri.
