Omak Komut Collective opened the main stage on the first day at the Ziro Music Festival with their folk fusion act. Omak Komut is the vocalist of the project, and he sings in 'Adi' language of Adi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. He is accompanied by guitarist Getam Apang and other session artists. Their idea is to bring forth the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and the North East and their platter is served with the right mix of blues-jazz with Adi folk music. Ziro is situated in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, 167 kms from the capital Itanagar. It can be reached via road from Guwahati or Dibrugarh towns in Assam.
