More like the push-of-war! Two Mizo men play a modified version of Tug of war - instead of pulling a rope they push a bamboo pole at each other. Mizo youth showing off their strength with an indigenous game were they hold the edge of the bamboo pole in a straight way and push each other in an opposite direction. This game formed part of the Anthurium Festival. The Anthurium Festival is a 3 day-long event organized every year in September by the State govt. of Mizoram with the aim to promote tourism in the state and also encourage Anthurium cultivation in Mizoram. It is a very popular festival and has slowly become one of the most prominent tourism festivals of the North East region.
