This is very unusual in Bhutan society and in a Bhutanese family, most of the decisions are made by women because women are family banks as women handle the household finances. As far as the property inheritance is concerned, Bhutan is more or less like a matriarchal society and the daughters inherit the property and after we get married the newlywed couple moves to the bride's house.
